We partner with community organizations to deliver free financial planning guidance workshops for people facing financial challenges — in person or online. All workshops are led by certified CFP®, QAFP® or F.Pl. volunteer planner.

All workshops are free and delivered by certified volunteers. Each session is tailored to a specific community and life situation.
Getting Started in Canada
Credit, debt, avoiding scams, and how Canadian financial institutions work. Designed for newcomers and recent immigrants.
Planning your Child’s Future
Covers saving for a child’s education, RESP, Canada Learning Bond (CLB), Canada Child Benefit (CCB), and long-term family financial planning.
Retirement Planning for You
Covers CPP, OAS, RRSPs, and building a retirement income plan — designed for people at any stage of retirement planning.
Intro to Financial Planning for Business
An introduction to financial planning for new business owners — covers GST/HST, EI for self-employed workers, cash flow, and business structure.
For Community Organizations only
Workshops can only be requested by community organizations staff on behalf of their organization. Individuals cannot request a workshops directly.
If you are an individual looking for financial planning guidance, please request a free one-to-one session instead.
